Capital Farm Credit to award next generation ag producers

Capital Farm Credit is hosting its inaugural awards program, GROW your AgriRoots, a contest to recognize the next generation of agricultural operators.

The GROW your AgriRoots awards program was designed to honor outstanding young, beginning, or small (YBS) producers for excelling in agribusiness and community involvement within the ag industry. Selection of winners is based on applicants’ efforts in agriculture, financial character, leadership, community involvement, continuing education, and sustainability practices.

“The future of agriculture rests on our young producers,” says Jeff Norte, chief executive officer at Capital Farm Credit. “I’m proud to say that these young people are already involved in leadership positions within the ag industry as well as in their local communities. We want to recognize their hard work and award them for serving Texas agriculture.”

The awards program will offer up to two $10,000 awards to top contestants.

Applications will open on August 21, 2023, for online submission and will close on September 29, 2023. All applications must be received online, on or before midnight, on September 29, 2023, to be eligible for the awards.
