Sally Lawson Memorial Scholarship for Cooperative Excellence

Honoring a legacy of leadership and service to cooperative agriculture.

The Sally Lawson Memorial Scholarship for Cooperative Excellence was established to honor the life, leadership and lasting impact of former Capital Farm Credit Chief Financial Officer Sally Lawson.

The annual scholarship supports students pursuing careers in agricultural cooperatives and related industries while carrying forward Sally’s commitment to financial stewardship, cooperative principles and service to rural communities.

    • Be enrolled or accepted at an accredited Texas college or university.
    • Be classified as a senior or be within 12 months of graduation at the time of application.
    • Be pursuing studies related to agriculture, agribusiness, finance, accounting or cooperative management.
    • Demonstrate an intention to work within an agricultural cooperative.
    • Complete an internship at an agricultural cooperative in the state of Texas.

    Youth Scholarship Program

    Supporting the next generation of Texas agriculture.

    Capital Farm Credit’s Youth Scholarship Program awards $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are passionate about agriculture and natural resources and plan to continue their education at an accredited vocational or technical school, college or university.

      • Be a graduating high school senior during the current school year.
      • Have an educational focus on agriculture or natural resources.
      • Plan to attend an accredited vocational or technical school, college or university as a full-time student.

      Preference may be given to students within or near Capital Farm Credit’s market territories.

      Applications for the 2027 Youth Scholarship Program will open in early 2027.
