Capital Farm Credit has partnered with Terrain to provide customers complimentary access to the team of agricultural economists and industry analysts who deliver timely market intelligence and expert perspectives tailored specifically for ag producers.
Agriculture in the modern age can be complicated, from fluctuating commodity markets and rising input costs to labor shortages, weather uncertainty and changing economic conditions.
Terrain can help Capital Farm Credit (CFC) members navigate that landscape. Customers have access to Terrain’s reports, presentations and industry outlooks that provide valuable insights and knowledge for decisions about risk management, planting, marketing and pricing, long-term planning and more.
“At Capital Farm Credit, we’re committed to helping our customers succeed not only with financing, but with resources that create lasting value,” said CFC President and CEO Jeff Norte. “By partnering with Terrain, we’re providing additional value to help producers make informed decisions in an increasingly dynamic environment.”
Terrain was created by Farm Credit institutions to support the long-term viability of agriculture and the customers they serve. Its mission is to provide actionable information and expert analysis that helps producers understand the trends shaping their businesses and identify opportunities ahead.
The Terrain team includes economists and analysts with expertise across a wide range of agricultural sectors, including beef, dairy, grain, specialty crops and the broader rural economy. Their research examines the factors influencing agriculture at the local, national and global levels, helping producers connect market developments to real-world business decisions.
Terrain delivers practical insights that producers can use to plan for the future, such as:

- Understanding how interest rates affect costs
- Evaluating labor availability and workforce trends
- Assessing cattle market opportunities
- Monitoring demand trends in renewable fuels
This new partnership combines CFC’s deep knowledge of Texas agriculture with Terrain’s broad industry expertise.
“The CFC team understands Texas agriculture, local communities and the unique needs of customers, while Terrain understands how what happens across the country, around the world and in other markets impacts a local operation,” said Matt Clark, Executive Head of Terrain. “Together, we can help producers move confidently toward what’s next.”
In addition to written reports and market outlooks, Terrain experts will participate in CFC customer events, educational programs, webinars and industry meetings across Texas.
This partnership reflects Capital Farm Credit’s ongoing commitment to delivering value beyond lending by equipping customers with the knowledge and resources needed to strengthen their operations and make confident decisions.
