John Scherer name Rock Star employee for 2nd quarter of 2026

Capital Farm Credit’s quarterly employee recognition program, Rock Star, was created to recognize Association employees who excel in their role by actively demonstrating CFC’s core values of commitment, trust, value and family. We are excited to share that John Scherer, Senior Credit Officer in La Grange, was selected for the second quarter Rock Star award for 2026.

John is a hardworking and talented credit analyst who has truly found a home at CFC. With significant experience across multiple lines of business and specialized skills in some of the most complex areas of the organization, he is frequently entrusted with the most challenging assignments. He consistently steps forward to handle important responsibilities that need attention, even when the work is difficult, or others are reluctant to volunteer. Broad knowledge, dependability, and a willingness to take on demanding tasks make John an invaluable resource to the team.

John also exemplified the true meaning of CFC’s family values during the past quarter. During one of the organization’s most difficult moments in years, a time that left many speechless, he stood tall and led the team in prayer, providing strength and support when it was needed most. Always willing to help an employee, customer, or anyone else in need, he consistently places the needs of others first. Compassion, humility, and a steady presence demonstrate the character and servant leadership that make a lasting difference throughout CFC.
