Capital Farm Credit announces new FIELD Fund Grant Program

Funds go toward Fostering Investment in Education & Local Development
Capital Farm Credit is launching a new, holistic grant program aimed at at supporting health and wellness, agriculture advocacy, educational initiatives, youth development, agricultural innovation, and community enrichment.
The FIELD Fund, which stands for Fostering Investment in Education & Local Development, reflects Capital Farm Credit’s commitment to supporting agriculture, reinvesting in rural Texas and empowering the next generation of producers and leaders.
“For more than a century, Capital Farm Credit has stood alongside Texas farmers and ranchers, honoring the deep agricultural traditions that define our rural communities,” said Jeff Norte, president and CEO of Capital Farm Credit. “The FIELD Fund carries that legacy forward by investing in the people, programs and partners who sustain rural Texas today and shape its future. It reflects our long‑standing commitment to reinvesting in the communities we serve and empowering the next generation of producers and leaders.”
The FIELD Fund consists of grant categories that are designed to serve diverse rural community needs, with a focus on four key areas:
- Healthy Rural Texas
- Agriculture Advocacy, Development & Natural Resources
- Agriculture & Youth Education
- Rural Development & Community Enrichment
The categories are:
Farmers Markets Grants: Funding of $1,000 for qualified farmers markets to provide essential resources to help local markets thrive by improving market infrastructure and enhancing the farmers’ market experience.
Youth Service Projects: This category is designed to support Texas FFA chapters, 4-H clubs and other youth groups in their missions to improve local communities through a variety of service projects. Grants range from $500 to $1,000, based on the project’s proposed budget.
Rural Support and Development: The Rural Support and Development Grant underscores our commitment to strengthening and growing Texas communities. Grants range from $1,000 to $15,000 based on project scope and go toward a variety of projects and programs that contribute to the overall well-being of rural communities.
Ag Education: These grants provide funding for hands-on learning, leadership, research and innovations that impact the future of agriculture. Grants range from $1,000 – $10,000, based on the project’s proposed budget.
Applications for all grants are open year-round, and grant recipients will be decided on a quarterly basis.
