It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our colleague and friend, Sally Lawson, after a courageous fight with cancer. Sally served as executive vice president and chief financial officer for Capital Farm Credit since 2021.
Sally was a tenured and respected leader at Capital Farm Credit whose dedication, integrity, and care for others left a lasting mark on our organization, our members, colleagues, and the communities we serve. She brought passion and purpose to her work and was deeply committed to the Farm Credit mission of supporting farmers, ranchers, and rural communities across Texas.
Beyond her professional contributions, Sally was known for her kindness, thoughtfulness, and genuine concern for the people around her. She made those she worked with feel valued and supported, having the ability to connect with people at all levels. Her presence will be deeply missed.
On behalf of Capital Farm Credit’s board of directors, employees, and cooperative members, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Sally’s family and loved ones. We are grateful for the time we had with her and for the legacy she leaves behind.
As we honor Sally’s life and contributions, we remain committed to carrying forward the work she cared so deeply about.
