Capital Farm Credit announced today the resignation of Shane Sklar from the Board of Directors. Director Sklar made the decision to step down due to growing professional and personal commitments.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my six years on the board at Capital Farm Credit, and I’m proud of the economic growth we have ushered in and the patronage that we have been able to return to our stockholders,” he said. “I am leaving now due to my recent election as President-Elect of the Sam Houston State University Alumni Association. With the demands of my new role, expanded farming operation, business responsibilities at Sklar Seed, and raising three school-aged children, I can no longer provide Capital Farm Credit stockholders with the commitment required of a director. I wish all the success in the world to the leaders of this great institution, and I’m proud to have Capital Farm Credit by my side to continue to handle the lending needs in my agricultural operations.”
While serving as Director, Sklar chaired the Risk Committee and contributed to the association’s legislative initiatives. The board will initiate the process of identifying and selecting a successor in accordance with established governance protocols. In the interim, Capital Farm Credit remains committed to maintaining strong leadership and continuing its mission without interruption.
