Lowell Woodward

Lowell Woodward of Alpine, a fourth-generation West Texas rancher, has ranched in Pecos, Crockett and Brewster counties for more than 30 years, where he runs a purebred Brangus cow-calf operation. He also raises fine wool sheep, market goats and paint horses. Woodward was a director of the Rio Grande Electric Co-op for 12 years and has also been involved in the wind energy development in Pecos and Crockett counties. He was also a founding director of Producers Marketing Cooperative Incorporated, a wool and mohair co-op, and is a director and committeeman of the Texas Sheep and Goat Raisers Association. Woodward is a past director of the Region F Water Planning Group and past president of the Pecos County Farm Bureau, also recognized as Pecos County Conservation Rancher of the Year. Woodward is a graduate of the Texas Christian University Ranch Management Program.
